Why a boxspring bed is the best choice for your bedroom
A boxspring bed sleeps differently — you'll notice it on the first night. The system of base box, mattress and topper cushions your body evenly on three levels. No pressure points, no sagging zones, no morning with a stiff back.
What originated in Scandinavian and American bedrooms is today also the standard in upscale hotel rooms in Germany. Once you've slept on one, you rarely switch back.
At Deine Möbel 24, you will find this sleeping comfort in various sizes and covers – from compact single beds to generous double beds.
Our range — Boxspring beds in various sizes and covers
No bedroom is like any other. We offer boxspring beds in the following sizes: 120×200, 140×200, 160×200, 180×200 and 200×200 cm — from compact single beds to generous double beds. For the covers, you have a choice between various fabrics, colours and surfaces.
Boxspring bed with storage box — practical storage space
Many of our models are optionally available with a gas-lift storage box. Bedding, pillows and seasonal clothing disappear neatly under the bed — ideal for flats without extra storage space.
Boxspring bed for the bedroom — our recommendations
For adults, we recommend boxspring beds from 160×200 cm. For those seeking maximum comfort, go for 180×200 or 200×200 cm.

A boxspring bed does not need a slatted frame mattress — the base box handles the suspension completely. Suitable mattress types are:
- Bonell spring core — proven, robust, good air circulation
- Pocket spring core — each spring cushions independently, recommended for couples
Our boxspring beds are delivered as a complete system — base box, mattress and topper. You don't have to worry about compatibility.
What you should look out for when buying
In addition to size, other details play a role in your sleeping comfort: The height of the headboard should match the room height and your own taste — high, padded headboards look impressive, while lower versions blend in more discreetly. With toppers, it's worth looking at the filling: standard toppers offer even support, while Visco toppers adapt more closely to the body shape.
The firmness level of the mattress should also match the body weight. If you are unsure, check the product description of the respective model, where the firmness level and construction are described in detail.
Care and longevity
Upholstery fabrics such as cord, velvet or velour can usually be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth. A stable base box construction ensures that the bed retains its shape and suspension even after years of use.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between a boxspring bed and a normal bed with a slatted frame?
With a normal bed, the mattress lies on a slatted frame. With a boxspring bed, a sprung base box replaces the slatted frame — this results in a softer, more even cushioning feel on three levels: base box, mattress and topper. The system absorbs body pressure better and is more durable than a slatted frame.
What size should a boxspring bed be?
At Deine Möbel 24, boxspring beds are available in sizes 120×200, 140×200, 160×200, 180×200 and 200×200 cm. Couples most often choose 160×200 or 180×200 cm. As a rule of thumb: the bed should be at least 20 cm longer than the body height of the tallest sleeper.
Can you assemble a boxspring bed yourself?
Yes. Our boxspring beds are delivered in a few parts and are easy to assemble. Illustrated assembly instructions are included.
How high is a boxspring bed compared to a classic bed?
Due to the base box, mattress and topper, a boxspring bed is usually significantly higher than a classic bed with a slatted frame. This makes it easier to get up and sit down, especially for people with back or joint problems.
Are boxspring beds also suitable for people with back problems?
Yes — if the model is chosen correctly. A pocket spring core supports the spine precisely. The integrated topper also provides pressure-relieving comfort at the shoulders and hips. If in doubt, we will be happy to advise you on the choice of model.
